The Dallas-based trio released their Relapse Record’s debut, Circumambulation, last week.
The album, dubbed “hypnotic†by NPR and as “absolute perfection†by Ghettoblaster, is “musical noir†(Seattle Times) that “does a brilliant job of expressing the network of … dark emotions that make us human†(Exclaim). Alternative Press described Circumambulation as being “wrapped in spidery melody, reverb-haunted twang and plodding, almost processional rhythms.â€
True Widow will join Chelsea Wolfe for a full tour in the US this September.
