Die Thrash Metal Band RAVAGER wurde Ende 2014 in Walsrode von Marcel Lehr (Gitarre), dem Gitarristen Dario Rosenberg gegründet. Mit Mitgliedern ihrer ehemaligen Bands kamen André Sawade am Bass und Philip Herbst als Sänger zur Band hinzu.
Man begann rasch, erste Songs zu schreiben, jedoch gestaltete sich die Suche nach einem Schlagzeuger als schwierig. Durch die Notlage angetrieben und aus einem schon länger bestehenden Interesse heraus, entschied sich André dazu, den Posten des Drummers zu übernehmen. Den Bass übernahm dann Justus, jung, motiviert und sehr langhaarig.
Jetzt fragt sich natürlich, was das Album hergibt. Vereinfacht gesagt – brettharten Thrash-Metal! Das heisst, nicht weniger als 10 Tracks deutsche Metal-Fleisses und -Wertarbeit. Die Jungs halten sich nicht lange auf und wüten mit der Abrissbirne so gut es halt geht.
Bestes Beispiel, das auch bei angefressenen Thrash-Metallern gut ankommen dürfte; „The Third Attack“ oder „Destroyer“, welche beide ihren kämpferischen Titeln durchaus gerecht werden. „The Third Attack“ ist eine reine Vollgas-Nummer, „Destroyer“ lässt etwas mehr Zeit zum Atmen.
Die Scheibe erscheint am 18. Juni 2021 und kann hoffentlich dieses Jahr noch gebührend releast werden – mit einer Live-Party!
Fazit
DIe Scheibe ist es durchaus wert, in einer gut sortierten Metalsammlung aufgenommen zu werden – besonders, wenn darauf „Thrash Metal“ steht. Meine Empfehlung – kaufen!

The thrash metal band RAVAGER was founded in late 2014 in Walsrode by Marcel Lehr (guitar), guitarist Dario Rosenberg. With members of their former bands, André Sawade on bass and Philip Herbst as singer joined the band.
They quickly started writing first songs, but the search for a drummer turned out to be difficult. Driven by necessity and out of a long-standing interest, André decided to take over the position of drummer. The bass was then taken over by Justus, young, motivated and very long-haired.
Now, of course, the question is what the album has to offer. To put it simply – hard thrash metal! That is, no less than 10 tracks of German metal flesh and blood. The guys don’t hold back for long and rage with the wrecking ball as best they can.
Best example, which should also go down well with pissed off thrash metallers; „The Third Attack“ or „Destroyer“, both of which definitely live up to their combative titles. „The Third Attack“ is a pure full-throttle number, „Destroyer“ allows a little more time to breathe.
The disc will be released on 18 June 2021 and can hopefully be properly released this year – with a live party!
conclusion
This disc is well worth adding to a well-stocked metal collection – especially if it says „thrash metal“ on it. My recommendation – buy it!
