Warum genau hört man sich eigentlich noch Alben von female fronted Metal Bands an?

Keine Ahnung, ich hab es einfach wieder getan.
Diese Mal das neue Album „Harrowing Insight“ von VISIONATICA aus dem Hause El Puerto Records.
In diesem Fall gibt es einen guten Grund; der Promoter diese Labels ist ein zumeist lieber Kerl, der auch mal ein Bierchen spendiert.
Im Notfall ist er allerdings auch grösser als ich…
Die Harteisen-Kapelle kommt aus Franken – das ist so irgendwo im nördlichen Teil von Bayern und Baden Württemberg oder so – auf jeden Fall sprechen die da komisch – also fränkisch…
Die Band besteht aus folgenden vier Mitgliedern; Tamara Amedov an Mikrofon und Bühnenrand, Manuel Buhl an der Gitarre und ebenfalls am Bühnenrand, Tim Zahn am Bass und gefälligst im Hintergrund sowie Gerhard Spanner an den Drums und damit definitiv am hinteren Bühnenrand.
Also nochmals; warum hört man sich solche Bands eigentlich noch an? Im Fall von VISIONATICA haben mich folgende Punkte überzeugt.
* Tamara Amedov ist eine ausgezeichnete Sängerin mit kraftvoller, klarer Stimme!
* Die Gitarre ist voll fett, die Soli glorios mit Gänsehautfaktor!
* Bass und Drums legen ein stabiles und präzises Fundament!
* Das Album ist abwechslungsreich und hält einige Überraschungen bereit!
Womit wir jetzt bei der Musik angekommen wären und da bereits bei der ersten Überraschung; als Gast ist XANDRIA-Sängerin Ambre Vourvahis an Bord, und zwar bei diesem Track mit dem wtf-Namen „F*cking Seducer“. Der Song wird dominiert durch die beiden Stimmen, die treibenden Double Blasts und die Dynamik zwischen sanften Gesangspassagen und den straight ahead – Parts dazwischen.
Orientalisch wird es bei „Scheherazade“, einerseits musikalisch mit entprechender Instrumentierung, andererseits wegen der Geschichte, die es hier nachzulesen gibt…
Der orientalische Touch zieht sich durch das Album und scheint am einen oder anderen Ort wieder auf.
Was mir am Album übrigens gefällt – das Intro „The Mirror“. Nur gerade knapp zwei Minuten lang bietet es einen symphonisch-mystischen Einstieg und macht neugierig auf das, was da noch kommt.
Bei „Psychopaths“ und „Super Masochistic So Sadistic Feministic“ impft die Band mit technischen Elementen, die zum modernen Touch des Albums beiträgt.
Mein Favorit auf dem Album ist die Ballade „Inside“, klar definiert von der grandiosen Sängerin und dem spannenden und kreativen Composing des Tracks.
Fazit
Zeigt meine Review, warum ich dem Album neun von zehn Punkten gebe? Wohl nur teilweise. Das hat damit zu tun, dass es nicht einzelne Tracks sind, die begeistern, sondern das Gesamtpaket, angefangen beim grafischen Erscheinungsbild, bei der gelungenen technischen Umsetzung und bei Kreativität und Varietät der einzelnen Tracks.

Why exactly do you still listen to albums by female-fronted metal bands? No idea, I just did it again.
This time the new album ‘Harrowing Insight’ by VISIONATICA from El Puerto Records.
In this case there is a good reason; the promoter of this label is a mostly nice guy who sometimes buys a beer.
But in an emergency he is also bigger than me…
The „Harteisen“-band comes from Franconia – that’s somewhere in the northern part of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg or something – in any case, they speak funny – that is, Franconian…
The band consists of the following four members: Tamara Amedov on microphone and at the edge of the stage, Manuel Buhl on guitar and also at the edge of the stage, Tim Zahn on bass and politely in the background, and Gerhard Spanner on drums and therefore definitely at the back of the stage.
So again; why do you still listen to such bands? In the case of VISIONATICA, the following points convinced me:
* Tamara Amedov is an excellent singer with a powerful, clear voice!
* The guitar is full and fat, the solos glorious and give you goosebumps!
* Bass and drums provide a solid and precise foundation!
* The album is full of variety and has a few surprises in store!
Which brings us to the music and the first surprise: XANDRIA singer Ambre Vourvahis is on board as a guest on this track with the wtf name ‘F*cking Seducer’. The song is dominated by the two voices, the driving double blasts and the dynamics between soft singing passages and the straight-ahead parts in between.
„Scheherazade“ has an oriental touch, both musically with the appropriate instrumentation and because of the story, which can be read here…
The oriental touch runs through the album and seems to reappear in one place or another.
What I also like about the album is the intro „The Mirror“. Just under two minutes long, it offers a symphonic-mystical introduction and whets the appetite for what is to come.
On „Psychopaths“ and „Super Masochistic So Sadistic Feministic“, the band adds technical elements that contribute to the modern touch of the album.
My favourite track on the album is the ballad „Inside“, clearly defined by the magnificent singer and the exciting and creative composing of the track.
Conclusion
Does my review show why I give the album nine out of ten points? Probably only partially. This has to do with the fact that it is not individual tracks that inspire, but the overall package, starting with the graphic appearance, the successful technical implementation and the creativity and variety of the individual tracks.
