UNKIND Post In-Studio Episode Pelon Juuret coming July 8th via Relapse Records

Finnish hardcore heroes UNKIND have posted an in-studio episode chronicling the making of their forthcoming album Pelon Juuret. Watch the episode here.

The album was recorded with producer Kari Nieminen at Noisecamp studios in Turku, Finland at the end of 2012 and will be released on CD/LP/Digital via Relapse Records on July 9th in North America, July 8th in the UK / World, and July 5th in Germany, Benelux and Finland. A trailer for Pelon Juuret is available here while exclusive pre-order packages are available via Relapse here.

Pelon Juuret continues in the direction of the group’s previous work, offering up a furious fusion of d-beat hardcore crossed with a highly creative touch of atmospherics — as if Mogwai made a record of Tragedy covers or From Ashes Rise were influenced by Explosions In The Sky.

UNKIND has previously released five full-length albums and a handful of vinyl-only releases. The band’s catalog is available for streaming via their official Bandcamp page here.

Additionally, the band has been confirmed for a series of Finnish dates including LPRHC and Back 2 School Fest . A complete listing is available below with more shows to be announced shortly.
