After releasing their debut EP “Metropolis” on Atropine Records (Year Of No Light, Sofy Major …) in 2010, Carne returns this year with their first full-length album “Ville Morgue”, which sees the duo from Lyon (France) refining their powerful collision of noise and sludge crusted with raw riffs and caustic vocals.

Most of the songs move along in a sludgy, abrasive pace with Carne delivering some nasty, slow-burning riffs and pounding drums, but some tunes also see the duo sliding into a full hammering of intense riffs and furious beats.

Recorded and mixed by Bruno Germain at Epicerie Moderne, and mastered by Franck Hueso at Mix’Em All studio, “Ville Morgue” is a surprising release that delivers the kind of ugly, vicious and noisy sludge that only bands like Buzzoven and Melvins are able to churn out.
