Nach Angaben der deutschen Promo geht das neue Album „Spirit“ der finnischen Haar-Metaller RECKLESS Love am 20. September in die Läden, laut Angaben der Band auf Facebook zumindest in UK bereits am 2. September, also kommenden Montag. Was spielt das für eine Rolle, hören wir in das Album rein.

RECKLESS LOVE gehören zu den Bands, die den klassischen Achtziger-Hair-Metal mit jeder Menge Enthusiasmus wieder zum Leben erwecken.
„Spirit“ heißt das neue Prachtwerk, dessen erste Singleauskopplung ´Night On Fire´ einigen von Euch bestimmt schon mal beim Einschalten einer geschmackvollen Radiostation ins Ohr gerauscht ist.
Für den Vorgänger „Animal Attraction“ haben die Finnen inzwischen sogar Gold eingefahren, und im Juni stand man als KISS-Support auf der Bühne.
Für „Spirit“ ging man jetzt zurück zu den Wurzeln, wie Bandkopf Olli Herman erzählt:
„This is a return to where it all began, to the clean hair metal music and almost naive joy of life. This band exudes lust and enthusiasm. We’re here to live life to the fullest and enjoy it! And that’s how making of this album felt. It sorta encompasses the message of the album and the Reckless Love spirit. The lyrics revolve around sheer euphoria, chasing one’s dreams, having fun and bittersweet love. After all, that’s what makes the world go round. There’s also a couple of songs about two people longing for one another, and about today’s world – all from the Reckless Love point of view. The compositions are simple, irresistible, pop-spiced good mood heavy metal. On the new album we also get to exhibit our most “metallic†side ever. Last November we’d been on the road for almost two years and recorded our second album in between gigs. This time we decided to take the time and really focus on the in-studio work as we’d done with our first record. The work’s proven fruitful, and now it feels like we’ve got our hottest album here – so far.“
