Der Heavy Metal der Siebziger und frühen Achtziger war eine Weiterentwicklung des Beat der 60er und des Rocks. Geprägt von nachvollziehbaren Songstrukturen mit dem Verständnis für eingängige Melodien waren diese Bands weit davon entfernt, was heute manchmal unter „Heavy Metal“ verstanden wird. CYANIDE SCREAM sind in dieser alten Tradition anzusiedeln , klingen jedoch auf der Höhe der Zeit! Als Anspieltips seien der Ohrwurm „Forever holding on“ oder die Ballade „In the cold“ genannt!
With a new bass player Mark Daven the second album of this USA-based band was recorded. “Battle on” follows strictly the path of the debut. The Heavy Metal of the Seventies and early Eighties was a development of the beat of the Sixties and Rock. Characterized by comprehensible song structures with the understanding for catchy tunes those bands were far from what is meant by the term “Heavy Metal” today.
