WHISKEY MYERS veröffentlichen „Mud“ am 09.09.2016
WHISKEY MYERS sind zurück und im Gepäck haben sie ihr viertes Album „Mud“. Produziert wurde die Platte von Grammy Gewinner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings, etc.)
Auch auf ihrem neuen Werk mischt die Band Soul, Country, Classic Rock und Blues. Aus der Freundschaft entstanden schreiben Cody Cannon – Lead Vocals, Guitar | Cody Tate – Guitar, Vocals | John Jeffers – Guitar, Vocals | Gary Brown – Bass | Jeff Hogg – Drums Songs über eigene Erlebnisse und Emotionen verpackt in Uptempo Rock Nummern und gefühlvolle Soul Balladen.
Sänger Cody Cannon: “It’s like painting a picture, the things I sing about haven’t always happened word for word, but everything is based on personal experience. And I have to just go with the flow, I can’t force the situation – but when I do write, I can come up with a whole album’s worth of material in a single session…”
Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Albums „Road Of Life“ tourte die Band mit Bands wie ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd oder der Marshall Tucker Band quer durch die USA. Die Band arbeitet momentan an Live Daten in Europa und kann es kaum erwarten ihre Musik auch hierzulande unter die Leute zu bringen.
“We tend to call ourselves a Texas band playing rock ‘n’ roll rather than a Southern Rock act,” sagt Cody, “but of course we’re very much steeped in and influenced by the traditions of The South. Really, it’s where American music is from. When I’m not on tour, you’ll find me out in the woods, huntin’ or fishin’, so I guess there’s a certain lifestyle and certain values that we embrace, given where we’re from…”
