A relatively new addition to Greece’s extremely blasphemous cabal of metal bands, Satan’s Wrath has spent its first two LPs—last year’s Galloping Blasphemy and the forthcomingAeons of Satan’s Reign, out now on Metal Blade—celebrating sacrilege and extoling the darkness.

Best of all, though, are the hyperbolically gruff vocals of frontman Tas Danazoglou, who sings of turning sacrament “to dust” and spilling his blood “on the altar of sin.” Like Watain in rhetorical overdrive, or Stryper spinning on an inverted cross, Satan’s Wrath is devilishly fun—and sort of funny, too.
