Vier Jahre nach dem letzten Album melden sich The Two Romans mit ihrem neuen Album „Real Life Lovers“ passend zum Valentinstag am 14.02.2025 zurück.

THE TWO ROMANS sind eine einzigartige Band, die sich durch ihre internationale Zusammensetzung und ihren modernen Rocksound auszeichnet. Die Band besteht aus den Brüdern Samuele und Mattia, die aus Italien, Deutschland und der Schweiz stammen. Unterstützung erhalten sie von aus Florian Fettke (E-Gitarre), Simon Boss (Drums) und Yvo Brönnimann (Bass und Synths).
Bereits im Gründungsjahr 2015 starteten sie durch. Sie gewannen den Emergenza Bandkontest und hatten ihren Auftritt auf dem Taubertal Festival in Deutschland. 2015, 2016 und 2017 veröffentlichten sie direkt drei EP’s in Eigenregie und waren kaum zu bremsen. Zahlreiche Konzerte und die EP’s sorgten für einiges an Aufmerksamkeit und sie wurden bei Schedler Music unter Vertrag genommen. Direkt 2020 erschien dann das Debutalbum „Everything.Now!“ (Release April 2020) und ging durch die Decke: Platz 4 der Schweizer Albumcharts, Album der Woche auf 4 Schweizer Radio Stationen, Ein Auftritt im Montreux Jazz Festival China und vieles mehr. Mit über 150 Shows und Festivals in Europa sowie einer Headliner-Tour in Deutschland im Jahr 2018 haben sie sich eine treue Fangemeinde aufgebaut.
2021 und 2024 meldeten sie sich dann jeweils mit einer EP zurück. Und jetzt, endlich ist es da, das neue Album von THE TWO ROMANS, und ich kann euch sagen, „Real Life Lovers“ wird das Ganze toppen, was das letzte Album vorgelegt hat. Die Platte reißt ein regelrecht mit, es ist gefüllt mit Leidenschaft und hat auf alle Fälle einige Ohrwürmer mit versteckt. Zumindest ging es mir die letzten Tage so. Die Sonne hat sich blicken lassen, man sitzt mit einem kühlen Getränk auf der Terrasse und hört The Two Romans, es fühlt sich fast schon nach Sommer an! Die Songs erzählen von Hoffnung, Liebe und Herausforderungen, die das Leben so stellt. Gerade im Song „Like It Like This“ ist der Optimismus und die Hoffnung zum Greifen nahe, das Lied soll eine optimistische Sichtweise vermitteln und die Zuhörer ermutigen das Licht in schwierigen Zeiten zu sehen. Ein wenig erinnert er mich an „Summer Paradise“ von Simple Plan und versetzt mich auch zurück in 2011 und zurück zu den schönen Sommergefühlen und Erinnerungen.
Inspirieren lassen sich THE TWO ROMANS von Bands wie Gang of Youths und Nothing But Thieves und so kreieren sie einen eigenen Sound – eine Kombination aus Piano, starken Vocals, elektronische Elemente und feinen Streichinstrumenten. Dieses Rundum Paket macht den Sound zu etwas ganz besonderem.
Fazit
„Real Life Lovers“ könnte musikalisch abwechslungsreicher nicht sein. Ich weiß nicht, wie oft ich das Album schon durchgehört habe und jedes Mal auf neue Fasziniert mich die abwechslungsreiche Musik. Das Album ist eine zum Tanzen einladende Platte mit viel Gefühl und phantastischem Sound. Mein persönlicher Favorit: „Real Life Lovers“! Man hätte keinen besseren Song wählen können um das Album zu starten! Er zwing ein fast dazu aufzustehen und mit zu tanzen und ihn so laut wie möglich abzuspielen!
Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen mal rein zu hören und ich bin mir sicher viele von euch werden genau so begeistert sein wie ich! Wer weiß, vielleicht wird der ein oder andere Song auch euer persönliches Lieblingslied für 2025! Ich kann für mich nur hoffen, dass THE TWO ROMANS auch mal eine Bühne in meiner Nähe betreten und freue mich jetzt schon sehr darauf!

THE TWO ROMANS are a unique band, distinguished by their international composition and modern rock sound. The band consists of brothers Samuele and Mattia, who come from Italy, Germany and Switzerland. They are supported by Florian Fettke (electric guitar), Simon Boss (drums) and Yvo Brönnimann (bass and synths).
They got off to a flying start in 2015, the year they were formed, winning the Emergenza band contest and getting to play at the Taubertal Festival in Germany. In 2015, 2016 and 2017, they released three EPs on their own and were unstoppable. Numerous concerts and the EPs attracted a lot of attention and they were signed to Schedler Music. In 2020, their debut album ‘Everything.Now!’ was released and went through the roof: #4 in the Swiss album charts, album of the week on 4 Swiss radio stations, an appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival China and much more. With over 150 shows and festivals in Europe and a headline tour in Germany in 2018, they have built up a loyal fan base.
In 2021 and 2024, they then returned with an EP each. And now, finally, The Two Romans‘ new album is here, and I can tell you, “Real Life Lovers” will top what the last album presented. The record is really captivating, it is filled with passion and definitely has some catchy tunes hidden away. At least that’s how I felt the last few days. The sun came out, you sit on the terrace with a cool drink and listen to The Two Romans, it almost feels like summer! The songs tell of hope, love and the challenges that life presents. The song ‘Like It Like This’ in particular conveys a sense of optimism and hope. It is intended to convey an optimistic outlook and encourage listeners to see the light in difficult times. It reminds me a little of ‘Summer Paradise’ by Simple Plan and also takes me back to 2011 and to beautiful summer feelings and memories.
THE TWO ROMANS draw inspiration from bands like Gang of Youths and Nothing But Thieves, creating their own sound – a combination of piano, strong vocals, electronic elements and delicate string instruments. This all-round package makes the sound something very special.
Conclusion
‘Real Life Lovers’ couldn’t be more musically diverse. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to the album already, but each time I’m fascinated by the varied music. The album is an inviting record to dance to, with a lot of feeling and fantastic sound. My personal favourite: “Real Life Lovers”! They couldn’t have chosen a better song to start the album with! It almost makes you want to get up and dance and play it as loud as possible!
I can only recommend that everyone gives it a listen and I’m sure many of you will be just as thrilled as I am! Who knows, maybe one or the other song will also become your personal favourite for 2025! As for me, I can only hope that THE TWO ROMANS will also perform on a stage near me and I’m already really looking forward to it!
