Ich bin begeistert, richtig begeistert. Aber zuerst etwas zur Band und unserer gemeinsamen Geschichte. ORDEN OGAN habe ich zum ersten Mal vor vielen Jahren am SUMMERBREEZE gesehen. Man stelle sich vor; ein Nachmittag, brütend heiss, die Sonne scheint Richtung Bühne. Auf der Bühne eine Band in lange, schwere Mäntel gehüllt. Und als Goodie zwei martialisch aussehende Endzeitsoldaten mit Flammenwerfer. „Ein bisschen spinnen die schon“, hab ich mir so gedacht. Musikalisch hatte ich aber da schon das Gefühl, dass das eine wirklich gute Truppe ist. Seither hat mich die Band immer wieder begleitet. Die Band besteht aus Sebastian „Seeb“ Levermann – Gesang, Patrick Sperling – Gitarre, Niels „Spoony“ Löffler – GItarre, Dirk „Dirki“ Meyer-Berhorn – Schlagzeug und Steven Wussow (ehem. Xandria) am Bass. Spannend bei der ENtsteheung dieses Albums; die Band steckte fest, kam nicht in die Gänge – bis ein Fan aus Uruguay, der geniale Covers der Band spielte, an Bord geholt wurde, bei drei Songs mitarbeitete und damit den Knoten löste. Seeb Levernmann dazu: „Der Rest schrieb sich praktisch wie von selbst. Mir war die ganze Zeit klar, wo ich hinwollte, ich sah davor nur den Weg dorthin nicht.“

Es würde zu weit führen, hier die ganze Geschichte hinter der Band und ihrer Musik auszuloten – dafür wird eine Lesefassung aus dem Umfeld des Fanclubs sorgen, die zum Albumrelease erscheinen wird.
Und was bringt das Album? Power, Frische, Kreativität, kurz – das beste Powermetal-Album, das mir dieses Jahr auf den Schreibtisch geflattert ist! Ich bin wirklich begeistert! Nicht nur, dass die Jungs mit dem Titeltrack „The Order Of Fear“ ein Brett rausballern, dessen Riffing und Drums ordentlich in die Magengrube fahren, nein, sie liefern ihre wahrscheinlich beste Nummer in Form der grandiosen Ballade „My worst Enemy“ dazu. Weitere grandiose Tracks finden sich auf der Scheibe; das sehr melodische und trotzdem harte „Anthem To The Darkness“ oder das epische „The Long Darkness“.

Fazit

Das Album macht Spass, vom ersten bis zum letzten Track. Schwächen gibt es keine beim bisher reifsten und besten der sieben ALben der Band – ein Hammer! Und natürlich; kaufen!

I’m thrilled, really thrilled. But first a bit about the band and our shared history. I saw ORDEN OGAN for the first time many years ago at SUMMERBREEZE. Imagine; an afternoon, scorching hot, the sun shining towards the stage. On stage, a band wrapped in long, heavy coats. And as a goodie, two martial-looking end-time soldiers with flamethrowers. „They’re a bit crazy,“ I thought to myself. Musically, however, I already had the feeling that they were a really good band. The band has been with me ever since. The band consists of Sebastian „Seeb“ Levermann – vocals, Patrick Sperling – guitar, Niels „Spoony“ Löffler – guitar, Dirk „Dirki“ Meyer-Berhorn – drums and Steven Wussow (formerly of Xandria) on bass. The development of this album was exciting; the band was stuck, couldn’t get going – until a fan from Uruguay, who played brilliant covers for the band, was brought on board, worked on three songs and thus untied the knot. Seeb Levernmann comments: „The rest practically wrote itself. I knew all along where I wanted to go, I just didn’t see the way there beforehand.“

It would be going too far to go into the whole story behind the band and their music here – that will be taken care of by a reading version from the fan club, which will be published to coincide with the album release.
And what does the album bring? Power, freshness, creativity, in short – the best power metal album that has crossed my desk this year! I’m really thrilled! It’s not just that the lads have a great album with the title track „The Order Of Fear“, whose riffing and drums really hit you in the stomach, no, they also deliver what is probably their best song in the form of the magnificent ballad „My Worst Enemy“. Other great tracks can be found on the disc; the very melodic yet heavy „Anthem To The Darkness“ or the epic „The Long Darkness“.

Conclusion

The album is fun from the first to the last track. There are no weaknesses on the most mature and best of the band’s seven albums to date – a hammer! And of course; buy it!
