So richtig der Fan von Hardcore bin ich ja nicht. Zwar gibt es einige Ausnahmen von Bands, die ich live ganz nett finde, ansonsten eher nicht…
THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME habe ich mir vorgenommen, weil ich den Comiczeichner AVERY sehr mag, Porky Pig oder Bugs Bunny habe ich als Kind geliebt.
Was mir am Album gefällt, ist die Power, die Kompaktheit – die Scheibe ist ein verdammtes Brett. Fronterin Laura Gierl hat es ebenfalls drauf, könnte auch in einer Melodic Death Metal Band singen, ihr Screaming ist erste Sahne.
HArdcore-Fans kann ich das Album uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

I’m not really a fan of hardcore. There are some exceptions of bands that I think are quite nice live, otherwise not…
I wanted THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME because I like the comic artist AVERY very much, I loved Porky Pig or Bugs Bunny as a child.
What I like about the album is the power, the compactness – the disc is a damn board. Fronter Laura Gierl also has it, could sing in a Melodic Death Metal band, her screaming is first class.
I can recommend the album to hardcore fans without any restrictions.

HAWK EYES – „Advice“
Kerrang hat es vor drei Jahren schon auf den Punkt gebracht: “If they aren’t on your radar yet, your radar is rubbish.” Das war, als die Jungs 2016 ihr Album „Everything Is Fine“ auf den Markt brachten.
Die Briten legen nun mit „Advice“ nach und bestätigen ihre Qualität als Musiker und Kreativtäter. Selber bezeichnen sie ihre Musik als „Rock And Riffs“, allgemeingültig handelt es sich um Noise Rock der härteren Gangart. Die Jungs legen stahlhart vor und liefern dazu mit Paul Astick einen Sänger, der seinesgleichen sucht, seine Stimme ist ebenso charismatisch wie kraftvoll.
Das Album darf man sich ruhig antun, wenn man damit leben kann, dass sich von den elf Tracks keiner zum Chillen eignet.

The British are now following up with „Advice“ and confirm their quality as musicians and creative perpetrators. They themselves call their music „Rock And Riffs“, generally Noise Rock of a harder pace. The boys present a rock-hard song and with Paul Astick they deliver a singer, who is looking for his equal. His voice is as charismatic as it is powerful.
You can do the album to yourself if you can live with the fact that none of the eleven tracks is suitable for chilling out.

EXHORDER – „Mourn The Southern Skies“
Da war doch was? Vor beinahe dreissig Jahren? Richtig, die Ami-Thrasher von Exhorder haben vor 27 Jahren ihr letztes Album veröffnetlicht. Sie haben sich etwas Zeit gelassen, im September ist ihre neue Scheibe „Mourn The Southern Skies“ erschienen.
Wenn die Jungs sich so lange Zeit gelassen haben, ist es wohl nicht schlimm, dass unsere Review etwas verspätet kommt.
Die Jungs sind nicht nur älter geworden, sondern auch reifer und noch ein Stück härter.
Das Album? Klar, Kult-Thrash der ersten Stunde, bretthart und kompromisslos – verdammt!
There was something there? Almost thirty years ago? Right, the Ami-Thrasher from Exhorder opened their last album 27 years ago. They took their time to release their new album „Mourn The Southern Skies“ in September.
If the guys took such a long time, it’s probably no big deal that our review is a bit late.
The guys not only got older, but also more mature and even harder.
The album? Sure, cult thrash of the first hour, rock-hard and uncompromising – damn it!
