STORMWARNING – „Stormwarning“

STORMWARNING – „Stormwarning“

Also, wer guten, mittelharten Rock liebt, sollte mal in die Scheibe reinhören – hat richtig was.

Fazit

english version

Santiago Ramonda – Vocals, Marcelo Gelbcke – Guitars, Bass, Keyboards and Felipe Souzza – Drums – these are the South American STORMWARNING, who hereby release their self-titled debut.
„I come from a small place where the conditions for art are not the best, but the passion to work for a goal can break all barriers and schemes,“ says singer Santiago.“
Amazing in this; the guys sound like the good old Amibands – although they are only three. The central element is singer Santiago Ramonda – a really big rock voice. So, if you like good, medium-hard rock, you should listen to this disc – it’s really something.
This is straight rock without frills. It should be exciting to see how the guys organize themselves live – guitarist, bassist and keyboarder Marcelo Gelbcke is either brutally multitasking or has multiple personalities. In any case, he plays the six-string very impressively – really fat riffing and awesome solos – especially on the album’s opener „Eye Of The Storm“. The album is not the killer without filler, but some tracks are already really good; „Sweet True Lies“ sounds correctly like eighties and nineties rock in the tradition of the great Ami bands like AEROSMITH, YOURNEY or SAGA.

What is to be expected, and what the guys can do; with „Question Of Time“ they deliver a classic power ballad, which animates to swinging or foot-tip rocking – as real rockers like it…

Conclusion

„Stormwarning“ by STORMWARNIG is not quite a great album, it reaches good middle class especially thanks to singer-exceptional talent Santiago and guitarist Marcelo – a South American export you can buy with confidence.
