Grandios!

The band

INGLORIOUS have been around since 2014, they come from England and split the work as follows:
Nathan James is the charismatic singer, Danny Dela Cruz plays a masterful guitar and is supported by Dan Stevens. Vinnie Colla as bassist and Phil Beaver on drums are responsible for the rhythm section.

Nathan James has already earned his spurs from ULI JON ROTH and the TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, he was also the one who picked up the guys for this band – like-minded people, as he calls them.

The Album

„Ride To Nowhere“ is the third CD of the band and testifies to their creativity and diligence. They have recorded 11 tracks that reflect the full range of rock and melodic metal.
On first hearing the band reminded me of ALTER BRIDGE – Nathan James‘ voice definitely doesn’t need to hide behind a Myles Kennedy. He’s just as good at the soft side as the fat ones.
listening and shuddering you definitely have to go into the ballad „Glory Days“. The song itself isn’t the absolute superhammer, but this voice! A unique dynamic, an urgency, which I maybe experienced with DISTURBED’s „Sound Of Silence“. Awesome!
The guys can also play planks, as they prove right at the album start with „Where Are You Now?“. Listen to this and you know why I equate him with Myles Kennedy – that’s how rock must fucking sound!
I would recommend the anthem „Liar“ as the third hint. The tempo is almost doomed, but without the viscosity of the „breakdown-sound“. Even if the number is at midtempo, the track has drive, goes forward and pops the really fat sound around the ears.
Besides the great singer Nathan James guitarist Danny Dela Cruz has a big part in the hammer music of the band, his string work is technically perfect, fits in every moment and convinces by fineness and fitting accuracy instead of the big gestures.

Fulness

Actually I was tempted to give the album 5 of 5 points. It is one of the most awesome albums of the last months and my personal album of the month. But I’m missing the absolute bombshell song that „totally brushes you out of your socks“.
about everything but definitely a „must-have“-album – grandios!
