Das ist auf jeden Fall schon mal nicht die schlechteste Art und Weise, wie man sich bei uns einen Reviewslot angelt – direkter Kontakt! Selbstverständlich kann man mich auch noch mit einem Bier bestechen – für mehr Punkte reicht das allerdings nicht. Im vorliegenden Fall ging das irgendwie unter – fuck!
FRONT ROW WARRIORS sind Elkie Gee (Vocals), Jay–G (Drums), Sorin Badin (Lead Guitar), Richie Seibel (Keyboard), Timo Michels (Bass) und Stef Binnig-Gollub (Guitar).
Es handelt sich hier also um ein durchaus klassisches Hardrocklineup. Wobei die Band eher im Heavy Metal anzusiedeln ist – womit das Keyboard eher nicht so – lassen wir das.
Gleich zu Beginn; die Band gibt ordentlich Gas, die Musiker spielen auf einem technisch hohen Niveau, das Zusammenspiel klappt einwandfrei. Die einzelnen Nummern sind straight – ist schliesslich kein Prog, sondern kick ass -Mucke. So den absoluten 10-Punkte-Burner habe ich nicht gefunden, aber für Achter waren fast alle Tracks gut, einige auch für neun Punkte. Da wären beispielsweise „Chasing Shadows) oder „Deadly Sins“ oder der Titeltrack „Wheel Of Fortune“. Mit „Hell Invaders“ findet sich ein Track, der auch von DORO PESCH stammen könnte – Sängerin Elkie hat eine ähnliche Stimme, tendiert jedoch eher etwas höher. Überhaupt – ihre Stimme hat eine enorme Power, bestimmt den Sound der Band zu einem rechten Teil. Wer mir auch sehr gut gefällt, ist Gitarrist Sorin Badin, Er hat ein Gefühl für getragene Soli, bei denen jeder Ton sein Eigenleben zeigen darf. Klar, er ist auch flink drauf, Soli wie bei „Hell Awaits“ gefallen mir aber am Besten.
Fazit
Insgesamt liegt mir hier ein Album vor, das man sich gerne zulegen darf. Die Band liefert viel Spielfreude, die einzelnen Mitglieder tragen ihren Teil dazu bei – hier darf man auch wieder einmal die wichtige Funktion von Bass und Drums erwähnen – ein solides Fundament! Empfehlung? Kaufen!

Right at the beginning; the band gives a lot of gas, the musicians play on a technically high level, the interaction works perfectly. The individual numbers are straight – after all, it’s not prog, but kick-ass music. I didn’t find the absolute 10-point-burner, but almost all tracks were good for eight, some even for nine points. For example „Chasing Shadows“ or „Deadly Sins“ or the title track „Wheel Of Fortune“. With „Hell Invaders“ there is a track that could also come from DORO PESCH – singer Elkie has a similar voice, but tends to be a bit higher. In general – her voice has an enormous power, determines the sound of the band to a right part. Who I also like very much is guitarist Sorin Badin, He has a feeling for carried solos, where every note is allowed to show its own life. Sure, he’s also quick on his feet, but I like solos like in „Hell Awaits“ best.
Conclusion
All in all, this is an album that is worth buying. The band delivers a lot of joy in playing, the individual members contribute their part – here one may also mention the important function of bass and drums once again – a solid foundation! Recommendation? Buy it!
