The new Swiss hardrock hope from Central Switzerland consists of singer Dave Niederberger, Marco Troxler as guitarist, Luca Troxler on bass, Lucien Egloff on drums and Felix Commerell on keyboards.
The fact that Commerell holds this position is one of the bases of the band. The difficulties with the reliable line-up of this position finally led to the dissolution of HAŸRDRŸER..
It seems that FIGHTER V (pronounced FIGHTER FIVE) are ready for a steep career, for the storm on the big stages.
The question is only; is the musical foundation enough to prove itself in this shark tank? And who should a hardrock band from Switzerland be measured against today?

One thing is already clear in any case; the guys don’t want to make a mess, they want to pad. Already before the release of the album on October 11th 4 videos will be released. Until today there are two of them, „Dangerous“ and „City Of Sinners“.
On these videos the guys at least don’t leave out a clichée, which distinguishes a Melodic Rock Band; leather jackets with fringes, beautiful hair, beautiful women on the edge to the sexism reproach and hookliners, songs, whose choruses enter and animate to sing along.
In any case the whole thing looks more serious than bands like STEEL PANTHER.
FIGHTER V are really melodic overall, delivering fast tracks as well as midtempo numbers – and the power ballad „Save Your Love To Me“.
Why is such a band measured? After KROKUS promised retirement to the world and GOTTHARD finally said goodbye as a serious rock band, the big names remain. Within Switzerland there would be the German-Swiss team CRYSTAL BALL or the not so metallic SHAKRA. Beside these two bands FIGHTER V cut a good figure. So good at least that they don’t have to hide from these troops.
When we leave the SChweizer borders, there is of course much more competition. For example the high-flyers THE NEW ROSES from our neighbour country – the Swiss are biting their teeth on them for the time being – after all they go on tour together with the currently hottest German Hardrock band – and this team guarantees almost for action-packed live shows to celebrate.

Conclusion

FIGHTER V are for me a serious hope in the Swiss hard rock heaven. They occupy the space that the „big ones“ of the genre slowly clear – or should clear. Here the guys can score musically, with their image and especially with their live performance. It would have to go to and fro with the devil if Dave Niederberger had put his Rampensau attitude aside in the meantime. Let’s be curious about what’s coming from Hergiswil!
