DITCHWATER – „Never Say Never“
DITCHWATER kennen keine Umschweife. Die 10 Songs sind zumeist Brecher, einzig „It’s All About You“ ist eine Powerballade.
english version…
Even though I didn’t know the band – DITCHWATER have been on the road since 1993. During this time they have released several albums and experienced some line-up changes. Since the beginning there is only guitarist and founder Mark Anderson.
DITCHWATER know no bypasses. They play straight, fat heavy metal that hits you in the face. There are no squiggles, the rhythm is permanently powerful and demanding. Vocalist Mike Meadows could also do well in a hard or metalcore band of the harder pace. The 10 songs are mostly breakers, only „It’s All About You“ is a power ballad.
Interesting and worth listening to is the MOTÖRHEAD cover „Iron Fist“ – Lemmy would have liked it.

TUNGSTEN – „We WIll Rise“

If Power Metal with a lot of melody comes from Sweden, SABATON doesn’t have to be on it. TUNGSTEN deliver with „We Will Rise“ a powerful debut, which they start right away with the hookliner and album title. With the guys there is only one direction – forward.
Vocalist Mark Andersson impresses me, his voice swings up without any problems and keeps the tones long and stable.
Musically the album is solid, musically of high quality and technically well realized. What is missing a little is the unique selling point. Maybe that all the guys have the same name. No wonder, KArl and Nick are Anders‘ sons. We know him as former drummer of HAMMERFALL and Yngwie J. Malmsteen’s Rising Force. Unfortunately I couldn’t find out anything about the relationship of singer Mike.
TUNGSTEN can still develop musically, find their own character – they are always on the right track.

english version
Okay, let’s unpack the tight pants and long hair, make up more or less discreetly and send idiots on tour – the Swedes from CRASHDÏET are ready with their latest Sleaze product „Rust“.
But the boys are not rusty, even though the men have been on the road since 2002.
With „Rust“ they deliver a pleasing ALbum, burn crisp doubleblasts as well as distorted guitar and busy basslines. As befits hard rocking girls, they deliver a midtempo number with „In The Maze“ and a ballad with „Waiting For Your Love“. GAbriel Keys still likes to convince with his clear and carrying voice.
What the guys are cutting out is not an album of the century, but at least a horny made record of the sleaze-rocky kind.
Bock on it? Then the guys will visit next week at the KOFMEHL in Solothurn…
