BIG CLYDE AND FRIENDS
Die neue BIG CLYDE EP «Growing Cold” erscheint am 23. Februar 2024 und wer die Songs noch live erleben möchte – sollte die beiden Konzerte im März und April nicht verpassen.

Wie bereits im Dezember angekündigt, gönnt sich die Band nach der EP-Veröffentlichung sowie der beiden Konzerte im März und April eine längere Pause, um die Batterien wieder aufzuladen.
Nach der Ankündigung von Sänger Kevin Volken in den Sozialen Medien vor etwa einer Woche ist unklar, ob es bei der Pause bleibt, resp. wie es mit der Band weitergeht.
Doch bevor es so weit ist – gönnt Euch nochmals einen «Coffee To Go» und «Roll the Dice» mit BIG CLYDE – besorgt Euch die EP und hört sie rauf und runter, damit ihr an den Konzerten im März und April auch fleissig mitsingen könnt:

Liebe Freunde
Die Zeit ist gekommen, in der wir uns mit einem verschwitzten, lachenden und einem leicht erschöpften Auge an euch wenden möchten. Nachdem wir in den letzten Jahren unzählige nationale, wie auch internationale Städte unsicher gemacht und Bühnen gerockt haben, haben wir uns entschlossen, ab dem Frühling 2024 eine wohlverdiente Verschnaufpause einzulegen.
Diese Entscheidung ist keineswegs leichtfertig gefällt worden und fühlt sich eher wie das Drücken der Pausetaste in einem energiegeladenen Abenteuer an. Selbst wir müssen mal unsere Gitarren stimmen und die Stimmbänder ölen. Wir wollen ja schliesslich nicht, dass unser „Coffee to go“ wie kalter Kaffee schmeckt, sondern dass dieser song euch nach wie vor die Ohren wärmt und eure Körper erzittern lässt.
Also; während wir die Kabel entwirren, die Staubwolken von unseren Tourstiefeln schütteln und uns in die heilige Stille des Proberaums zurückziehen, wünschen wir uns, dass ihr weiterhin eure Gedanken, Geschichten und vielleicht auch wo ihr den besten „coffee to go“ bekommt, mit uns teilt und in der Zwischenzeit natürlich weiterhin unsere songs reinzieht – in der Endlosschleife versteht sich
Bevor wir jedoch unsere eigenen Amps leiser drehen, um für eine Weile headbangend mal nur im Publikum angetroffen zu werden, hauen wir euch, wie längst versprochen, bald noch eine neue EP (Titel „growing cold“) auf den Tisch, die wir in unsere kommende Setlist und noch für gigs im Frühjahr‘24 einbauen werden!
Wir danken euch allen da draussen von Herzen für euren bisherigen support!!

Speziellen Dank geht an alle Fotografen die unsere Abenteuer festgehalten haben (you know who you are) und dank deren hammer Bilder ihr auch ohne live dabei zu sein, mitbekommen habt was abgeht.

Thank you music, for 24 years worth of stories
Bob Dylan once sang:

Wherever you roam

Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin‘“
For me times definitely have changed.
In the 24years I’ve been singing, of which 22years were in bands, I’ve gained many memories. It’s one of the greatest treasures and most adventurous paths I’ve walked and music and its characters were definitely a big influence on bringing me to where and making me who I am.
I‘ve met so many people through music, saw many places, missed out on many hours of sleep, tried many types of beer, laughed and felt happy through music, had goals for my musical future that didn’t know limits, pushed myself further, made serious decisions in the name of music and even lived off music for a couple of years.
But not too long ago there was a time I felt I‘m not getting enough out of it all. I thought if I step it up a notch, it would fulfill me more,cause the more you give, the more you gain,right?
Well I was wrong. Cause I did what we all do: I didn’t really listen to myself.
Instead of always saying „yes“ and „I‘m in“, I should have analyzed my true needs and care more about the downsides the situation was bringing with it.
But times, they are a-changing.
It’s not an easy decision, but I will let my microphone rest, for there are things in life I want to dedicate more attention to and people I want to spend more time with.
I‘m immensely grateful for everyone who I was walking this path with, in the last 24 years.
I learnt.
I learnt alot.
People positive, negative, true, wrong, team players, opponents, feeling love, hate, trust, disappointment, happiness, sadness… all packed in 5 letters: MUSIC
So to all of you people out there, family, friends, strangers:
!! Thank you !! for listening to my songs and for singing along to my stories over the years.
