Heute kommt vielleicht die etwas andere Album-Review von meiner Seite. Unglaublich viele Menschen legen in ein neues Jahr all ihre Hoffnungen, Ängste und tiefsten Sehnsüchte. Sie hoffen so sehr, dass das nächste Jahr, egal in welcher misslichen Lage sie auch stecken mögen, eine Verbesserung der Umstände mit sich bringt. Deshalb wird auch Silvester fast in jedem Land nach wie vor gefeiert. Doch was hat das mit einer simplen Album-Review zu tun. Nun, ANTI FLAG ist wieder da. Vor kurzem wurde Ihr Album Vision 20/20 endlich auf den Markt gebracht. Das Album geht hart mit den amerikanischen Nationalisten, Politikern und Bürgern hart ins Gericht.

Die Band ist schon seit Ihrem Debütalbum „Die for the Goverment“ eine Grösse, die neueren Punk massgeblich beeinflusst hat. Dabei geht es Ihnen darum, wieder zunehmend Einfluss auf den Staat zu nehmen. Sie sprach sich zusammen mit einer anderen Band effektiv gegen die Bush-Administration aus, was dazu führte, dass in einigen Plattenläden Ihr neues Album „The Terror State“ nicht mehr verkauft wurde. ANTI FLAG unterstützt auch beispielsweise die Non-Profit-Organisation Military Free Zone in der es darum geht; zu verhindern, das High-School Abgänger vom amerikanischen Militär angeworben werden. Die Band verfolgt Grundhaltungen des Pazifismus und des Anti-kapitalismus. Wobei hier noch gesagt werden muss, dass es bei ANTI FLAG  nicht darum geht, alles schlechtzureden, sondern erhebliche Kritik an bereits etablierten Systemen zu üben. Seit 2006 sind sie weltweit erfolgreich und haben einen erheblichen Einfluss auf Fans und begeisterte Hörer.

Sowohl Aufmachung wie auch Inhalt geben für das Album „Vision 2020“ klare Richtungen vor. ANTI FLAG ist es wichtig, dass sich der Widerstand in diesem Jahr regt. Die Musik ist immer noch von alten Punklegenden beeinflusst und fügt sich so nahtlos in die Reihe der erfolgreichen Punkalben ein, welche bis zum bitteren Ende kompromisslos waren, sind und sein werden. Dabei ist es nicht der Fall, dass ANTI FLAG sich einer völligen Illusion des Antikapitalismus hingibt. In den Songs finden sich einige Einspieler von Trumps gehaltenen und fragwürdigen Reden. „Hate Conquers all“ der erste Song ist überaus wertvoll und zeigt uns sehr gut was für Kräfte in Amerika momentan am Werk sind. Der Hass ist überall und gegenwärtig, Ausländer, Liberale und offene Menschen werden für alle Probleme verantwortlich gemacht. Gleichzeitig wird die duale Weltvorstellung, die viele Anhänger Trumps nach wie vor in die Welt schreien, aufgeweicht und hinterfragt. Denn im Grossteil der Fälle hilft Trump nunmehr den Reichen und nicht den Armen. Nötige und gerade erst eingeführte Systeme wurden bereits wieder zerstört. „The Disease“ stellt den Widerstand als Krankheit des eigenen Systems dar und sollte auf jeden Fall gehört werden. Mein absoluter Favorit ist aber „20/20 Vision“, denn es widerspiegelt genau das, was sich viele leise Stimmen insgeheim erhoffen. Ein purer Optimismus trifft auf die Ziele des neuen Jahres, oder eben der Vision einer, in einem Jahr, zu ändernden besseren Welt. Dieses Album hat bei mir mehrere Male eine ziemliche Gänsehaut ausgelöst, darum will ich über die musikalischen Elemente nicht lange drumherum reden. Die Simplizität ist  bei ANTI FLAG eine Spezialität, darum schaffen sie es immer wieder, ihren Songs eine neue Identität zu geben. Vollgespickt mit lyrisch anspruchsvollen Texten und bildungssprachlichen Fachwörtern wird die momentane politische Situation um die Pittsburgher-Band ANTI FLAG beschrieben. HahHafjrek

Fazit

In dem Buche Luzifer-Effekt von Dr. Phil Zimbardo wird genau über diese Art von Verhalten berichtet. ANTI FLAG begehrt seit Jahren gegen das eigene System auf und hinterfragt es. Gleichzeitig wird Ihnen klar, dass sie Taten und Zeichen setzten können. Sie stehen für eine positive Veränderung des Systems ein, was in diesem spannenden Buch als Heldentum bezeichnet wird. Dabei versucht Dr. Phil Zimbardo das Heldentum nicht mehr nach mythologischen Beispielen zu identifizieren. Denn Heldentum ist vielmehr als Kühnheit in einem anscheinend aussichtslosen Kampf ums nackte Überleben.

They hope so much that the next year, no matter what their predicament may be, will bring an improvement. This is why New Year’s Eve is still celebrated in almost every country. But what does this have to do with a simple album review. Well, ANTI FLAG is back. Recently your album Vision 20/20 finitely was released. The album goes hard on American nationalists, politicians and citizens.

Since their debut album „Die for the Goverment“ the band is a greatness that has influenced newer punk significantly. Their aim is to regain increasing influence on the state. Together with another band you effectively spoke out against the Bush administration, which led to the fact that in some record shops your new album „The Terror State“ was not sold anymore. ANTI FLAG also supports for example the non-profit organization Military Free Zone which is about preventing high school graduates from being recruited by the American military. The band follows basic attitudes of pacifism and anti-capitalism. Whereby it has to be said that ANTI FLAG is not about badmouthing everything, but to criticize already established systems. Since 2006 they are successful worldwide and have a considerable influence on fans and enthusiastic listeners.

Both presentation and content give clear directions for the album „Vision 2020“. It is important to ANTI FLAG that the resistance is stirring this year. The music is still influenced by old punk legends and thus fits seamlessly into the series of successful punk albums, which were, are and will be uncompromising to the bitter end. It is not the case that ANTI FLAG surrenders to a complete illusion of anti-capitalism. In the songs you can find some recordings of speeches held by Trumps and questionable speeches. „Hate Conquers all“ the first song is extremely valuable and shows us very well what forces are at work in America at the moment. The hate is everywhere and present, foreigners, liberals and open-minded people are blamed for all the problems. At the same time, the dual world view that many followers of Trump still shout out into the world is softened and questioned. For in the majority of cases Trump now helps the rich and not the poor. Necessary and recently introduced systems have already been destroyed again. „The Disease“ portrays resistance as a disease of its own system and should definitely be heard. But my absolute favourite is „20/20 Vision“, because it reflects exactly what many quiet voices secretly hope for. Pure optimism meets the goals of the new year, or even the vision of a better world to change in a year. This album has given me goose bumps several times, so I won’t talk about the musical elements for long. Simplicity is a speciality of ANTI FLAG, so they always manage to give their songs a new identity. Full of lyrically challenging lyrics and educational terms, the current political situation around the Pittsburgh band ANTI FLAG is described. HahHafjrek

Conclusion
